Regulation of cellular growth and differentiation through the activation of different cyclin-Cdks (cyclin-dependent kinases) at appropriate times is needed for normal development of testis. This study was to investigate the mRNA expression of CDK inhibitors, p27kip1°ú and p57kip2 during the post-natal growth and differentiation of mouse testis, mRNA level of p27kip1°ú was highly wxpressed in 1 week and 2 week old-testis, but decreased in 4 week and 8 week old-testis. Also, mRNA expression of p27kip1°ú was higher in 1 week and 2 week old-testis than 4 week and 8 week old-testis. p27kip1°ú was highly expressed about two fold than p57kip2 during post-natal testis development of mouse. These result suggest that the role of p27kip1 and p57kip2 might be required for the post-natal early development of mouse testis.
